NetGateManager — Privacy Policy

      Summary: NetGateManager is designed with privacy and local security as top priorities. Your router management credentials and network communications remain exclusively between your phone and your local router. We do not sell, track, or collect your personal data.
    

1. What is NetGateManager?

NetGateManager is an advanced utility application for Android designed to monitor, analyze, and manage ZTE 4G and 5G cellular routers (such as MC801A, MC888, and compatible models). The app enables users to manage cell locking, band selection, signal metrics, Wi-Fi clients, firewall configurations, SMS messages stored on the router SIM, and Wi-Fi spectrum analytics.

2. Data Handling & Network Communication

NetGateManager communicates directly and exclusively with your router's local gateway IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) over your local Wi-Fi or LAN connection:

No External Relay Servers: No router settings, login tokens, IMEI, IMSI, or cellular traffic metrics are routed through or stored on external servers.
Direct Gateway API: All management queries (HTTP/HTTPS) are executed directly between your Android device and the local router web service interface.

3. Router SMS & Contacts

NetGateManager includes a feature to read, send, and manage SMS messages stored on the router's inserted SIM card via the router’s administrative API:

The app does not access your phone's personal SMS inbox or Android SMS permissions.
SMS messages sent or received through the router are retrieved directly from the router's local memory and are never uploaded to any cloud server.

4. App Permissions & Why They Are Needed

NetGateManager requests only the permissions strictly necessary to communicate with your router and perform diagnostic analysis:

Permission	Purpose / Usage
`INTERNET` & `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`	Required by Android to send HTTP requests to your local router's gateway IP and detect connectivity status.
`ACCESS_WIFI_STATE` & `CHANGE_WIFI_STATE`	Used to verify Wi-Fi connection state and inspect connected Wi-Fi parameters.
`ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION` / `ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION` Wi-Fi Scanning Only	Android Operating System Requirement: Android requires location permission to perform Wi-Fi spectrum analysis and detect nearby Wi-Fi APs (SSIDs, channels, RSSI) in the Wi-Fi Analyzer tool. NetGateManager does NOT track, record, or share your physical GPS location.
`NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES`	Required on Android 13+ to scan nearby Wi-Fi networks with the `neverForLocation` flag declared.

5. Local Storage on Your Device

All settings and credentials are saved strictly on your local device storage:

Router Credentials: If you choose "Remember Password", sensitive authentication tokens are stored securely on-device using encrypted local storage (Android Keystore / SecureStorage).
App Preferences: Selected language, dark/light theme, custom polling intervals, and display settings are stored locally via standard SharedPreferences.
You can erase all stored data at any time by selecting Logout, clearing app data in Android Settings, or uninstalling the app.

6. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

If you purchase a premium license or subscription within NetGateManager:

All transactions and payment processing are handled entirely by Google Play In-App Billing.
NetGateManager never receives, processes, or stores your credit card numbers or financial account details.

7. Third-Party Services & Diagnostics

To help maintain application stability and deliver configuration updates:

Firebase Crashlytics (Optional / Anonymous): In the event of an application crash, anonymous stack traces and technical device model details may be sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help the developer fix bugs. No personal router credentials or local network traffic data are included.
Firebase Remote Config: Used to check for critical feature flags or router compatibility profiles.

8. Children's Privacy

NetGateManager is a technical network diagnostic utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect app improvements or regulatory updates. Any changes will be published here with an updated revision date.
